The entire camp is fenced in. There is an outer fence all the way from the junction at the railroad bridge, along the hospital road, encircling around loop 6 and 1 extension, down to the airfield and across the bush to the beach road, then coming back along the road past powerplant.
On the opposite side of named road, there is a fence encompassing the industrial area, starting at the south pier at the harbour, running along the railroad track to the bridge then cutting across the edge of mooretown to pass by washing plant and ending at the north pier, where there is a gate to the comercial harbour.
On top of this, each loop is individually fenced with a guarded gate, except for loop4 (abandoned) and loop5, where each house has its own fence.
On top of the top of all these fences, Loop 1 and supermkt/bachelorflats/countryclub area is a UN military base, occupied by Ghanaian forces.
